BRACE FOR IMPACT

11/12ths of this year gone, tomorrow is another day like any other, but with a difference — it’s December.

For those in any form of retail or wholesale business connected to the upcoming Christmas holidays or New Year’s celebrations — it’s time to buckle down, double down, go hard and get through the sleep deprivation.

For many others, it’s a combination of social graces, parties and festivities, planning for gifts and travels, for time off to ski or jet away to warmer climes.

We are all driven by this human construct called a calendar to wind up the year or launch the next one. Speaking of which, I need to pick up a new one.

How can we enter and get through any December without the comfort of knowing there is a calmer January of relief to follow?
